Taking his inspiration from the summer solstice and a turn of the twentieth century Sweden setting, director Mark Lamos gives Sondheim's A Little Night Music an "erotic" staging at San Francisco's American Conservatory Theatre . A Little Night Music features breathtaking scenic design from Riccardo Hernandez and stunning costumes designed by Candice Donnelly. Audiences leave with plenty of material worthy of hours of discussion.

The Off-Broadway League recently announced nominations in 18 categories for the 30th Annual Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway. The Lortel Awards are being handed out tonight, Sunday, May 10, 2015 at NYU Skirball Center beginning at 7:00 PM EST, and BroadwayWorld will be updating the winners as they are announced!

The Off-Broadway League today announced nominations in 18 categories for the 30th Annual Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway. The Lortel Awards will be handed out on Sunday, May 10, 2015 at NYU Skirball Center beginning at 7:00 PM EST, and hosted by Emmy-nominated actors Anna Chlumsky (“Veep,” Broadway's Living on Love) and Jesse Tyler Ferguson (“Modern Family,” this summer's The Tempest). This year's event will once again benefit The Actors Fund.

The Acting Company in association with The Guthrie Theater presents William Shakespeare's "Macbeth," directed by Devin Brain, Friday, March 20, 8 p.m.; and "A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court," adapted by acclaimed playwright Jeffrey Hatcher from the novel by Mark Twain, directed by Ian Belknap, Saturday, March 21 at 8 p.m. Both performances take place at the McAninch Arts Center, 425 Fawell Blvd., on the campus of College of DuPage.
