Michael Mulhern has lived in Denver and been active in it's theater scene for over 10 years. He is originally from Wiesbaden, Germany and graduated with a BFA in Theater Performance from the University of Wisconsin-Superior. Currently he performs in one to two shows a year and is a proud member of the Denver Gay Men's Chorus. Some of Michael's favorite performances include - Lend Me a Tenor, Guys and Dolls, The Shadow Box, Buried Child, and Jeffrey. Emmy Award Winning Actor Leslie Jordan performed his one man comedy FRUIT FLY at Lannie's Clocktower Cabaret this past weekend. Mr. Jordan travels back in time in FRUIT FLY, sharing childhood recollections including some perilous teenage shenanigans. The show traverses Leslie's life from the day his teenage self sits down with his mother to inform her that he has decided to forego college to become a female impersonator, all the way to a gay Alaskan cruise with 2,000 gay men on which a 53 year old (with shipping and handling) Leslie witnesses his aging mother's metamorphosis. Jordan's storytelling skills and wit abound in this one man comedy.

The award winning Arvada Center brings Christmas joy with MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET-THE MUSICAL playing now through December 23rd. The musical is based on the story 'Miracle on 34th Street' by Valentine Davies; book, music and lyrics were written and composed by Meredith Willson (The Music Man and The Unsinkable Molly Brown). As Miracle on 34th Street unfolds, a wise old white bearded gentlemen claiming to be Kris Kringle shows up in New York City only to discover that the holiday to which he is eternally associated has become tarnished by commercialism and greed. When he gets hired as Santa Claus at Macy's, the jolly old gentleman goes about setting things right - even as events conspire against him. Based on the delightful movie classic that starred Edmund Gwenn as Kringle and a young Natalie Wood, this musical version includes memorable songs such as 'Jolly Old St. Nicholas,' 'The Holly and the Ivy' and more. As we get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the season, we all need a little break to remember that miracles do happen.
