Theatre in the Round Players (TRP) presents Godspell in weekend performances from July 4 - 27, 2014.

Godspell was hailed as a groundbreaking reflection of the life of Christ. It opens with John the Baptist calling out a diverse group of young people to leave their modern workaday lives to follow Jesus. They form a roving troupe that enacts the parables by drawing on a variety of theatrical traditions - clowning, pantomime, vaudeville - all to a sparkling musical score by the composer of Pippin and Wicked, led by the hit song Day By Day.

Dann Peterson directs a cast of 13, with music direction by Robert Ragoonanan, choreography by James Kuntz, sets and costumes by John A. Woskoff, and lighting by Mark Halvorson.

An audience discussion with members of the company will follow the matinee performance on Sunday, July 20th.

Tickets are $24. For information, call the theatre's box office at 612-333-3010 or visit its website at www.TheatreintheRound.org.
